FYI: The University of London has withdrawn the BSc in Mathematics, Computing and Statistics. The last exams will be given in 2007, and if one still wants to be admitted, non-EU students must have applications in by September 17, 2002, EU students by October 17, 2002.

  2. The good news is that Goldsmith's (lead college for BSc in Mathematics, Computing and Statistics) still offers the more popular BSc in Computing and Information Systems.

I suspect that U of L no longer offers the BSc in math & computer science because of low enrollment. According to their website, student distribution for 2001/02 for this degree program was 182 students while 9,150 students were enrolled in the LLB degree program.

You will find that British universities are like all others; pleading poverty and strapped for cash. This is especially so from universities that are state run. Perhaps it might be a good measure of their authenticity that they have no money. 'Do a degree at Oxford, they are almost bankrupt!' might be a good advertizing slogan.
