I spoke with a friend yesterday who informed me that LU was applying for RA (accrediting body not mentioned). A call to there Admissions office advised me that LU has made application for RA but hasn't received a response YET! Just thought I would pass this along knowing how much the fine folks here enjoy discussing (disgusting...oops) this fine institution of higher learning.
It is a simple--and insubstantial--thing to say one's school is striving for, applying for, etc., RA. It is another thing entirely to become a candidate for accreditation. Still, even a semi-experienced eye can look at an institution and see whether or not it is a serious effort. Is there anything about Lacrosse that indicates it has educational processes, curricula, resources, staffing, etc., to become accredited? Is there anything about Lacrosse, anything, that does not indicate it is a degree mill?
I find the recent flurry of posts regarding LaCrosse to be very interesting. As Russel said, the recent ad in USA Today is very nice? Perhaps the ad references degreeInfo?

I applied to the College of Cardinals in the Vatican, asking to be named as the next Pope, and I haven't received a response either.
