Hello, A friend asked me to research this for her. Her employer made her an offer to pay 100% of a distance learning LPN program. I don't think the price will be a big issue. All suggestions kindly appreciated. Have a peaceful weekend. Hille(Her employer will also supply a computor and internet access.)

At the lower end of nurisng i.e LPN, VN or even the next step up to RN, there is a lot of hands on or lab work. Almost all (ready couldn't fiond any that weren't) the DL programs I can find are for RN to BSN or MSN level.

Good Morning, My friends work situation would allow hands on work to be done on site. Any flexible LVN or LPN courses with course work on line out there? Thanks. Hille

    FYI

You have two (2) paths at a RN

    (1) the LVN path, then test for the RN

    (2) earn at a minimum an AS degree in Nursing, then test for the RN.

Regents College in NY offers DL ASN program at a minimal cost with some general education requirements and 7-10 packaged courses you can to at home (DL)

I know of an EMT-P that had a BS degree in General Studies,. started the ASN program at Regents, took seven or eight tests, received his ASN, took the RN national exam in not more than 6 months, went on to earn his PA in 18 additional months.

    Hille --

The only online LPN study I have been able to locate is offered by Deaconess College of Nursing. (http://www.deaconess.edu/)
They offer an online ADN with an LPN option. Their students qualify to sit for the NCLEX-PN. Your friend would need to check with the Board of Nursing in his/her state to see if they would accept this method of study.

    Hope this helps.

    distance learning practical nursing

Here is a distance learning program, it does require time on campus. If your friend has health care experience I would highly recomend Excelcir to get a RN degree about the samr ammount of time and much less expensive with a larger pay off for her.

but here is the LPN program http://www.ntcmn.edu/distance/programs/nursing/
