State of Hawaii Sues Southern Pacific University

The State of Hawaii, by its Office of Consumer Protection, filed suit today against Southern Pacific University (a Hawaii corporation) and its principal Diane Dender (a Hawaii resident). The suit alleges that the defendants violated various provisions in Hawaii's Unaccredited Degree Granting Institutions Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 446E)and seeks injunctive relief, restitution, civil penalties and other equitable relief.

Southern Pacific University is not related to (1) the University of the South Pacific; (2) South Pacific University or (3) Pacific Southern University.
