hi! I'm new to the distance learning program and am extremly confused about which schools are ok and which are not. I've been looking for an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies. I found 2 schools, Ashworth College and Keiser. I looked them up in the Bear's guide but their not listed. Anyone have any info about them? Thanks :)

  2. I believe that Ashworth College is a new name for PCDI (Professional Career Development, Inc). It's accredited by DETC.

Keiser appears to be a Florida community college that has several online associate's degree programs -- http://www.keisercollege.cc.fl.us/online_degree.htm -- could be that these are new since the alst edition. It's accredited by the Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award the Bachelor and Associate Degree.

It's always a good idea to check out community colleges in your state; many have reasonable tuition, a good assortment of day/evening/weekend/distance courses, and articulation agreements with state universities so that you can easily transfer in as a junior.
