Which (US) DL institutions have rolling admissions at the Ph.D./Doctorate level? I am looking for a school that I can apply to and start course work before next fall. (2003) Also, if anyone has experience with the Financial Aid process with any of those schools, please share your experience.

For those that know, do you receive enough Financial Aid to cover travel expenses, books, University Fees, personal expenses, etc., required while attending school?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Fielding and Union have rolling admissions. It is possible to start in just about any month of the year. It would be helpful to know what area(s) you wish to study. More programs would come to mind, I'm sure.

As far as financial aid goes, most schools take advantage of student loans. The annual limit for graduate study is about $18,000. Grants and other forms of financial aid are considerably more limited. Each school has a financial aid office that can provide more information.

Applying for financial aid is pretty straight forward. You have to apply for eligibility through the USDoE (FASA), and then submit your loan paperwork through your financial aid office. They'll take your application, your most recent tax return, and the eligibility form they get from FASA and process your loan. Some or all of your loan can be subsidized. (That means the government pays the interest on the loan while you're in school). Some might be unsubsidized. (You either pay the interest while in school, or you roll it over until the payback period begins after you leave schoo.)

    Hope this helps.

Some of the programs at Colorado State, Univeristy of Alabama in Huntsville and Indiana State do. In particular the Industrial Engineering programs at Colorado State and UAH do. And the Engineering Technology Program at ISU does (this program covers Bowling Green State University, Central Missouri State University, East Carolina University, University of Wisconsin - Stout, Indiana State University, and North Carolina A & T)

Thanks for the information. I am looking for any type of Business degree. (DBA, DM, Ph.D, etc.) I would also be very interested in a Ed.D. that would admit someone who is not working in the education field. I want to transition into College Administration which is why I would be interested in the Ed.D. Although, most schools require you to already be working in the field for this program. If you have any insights or exceptions to the rule, please let me know. I am looking for DL, RA (US) degree with short residences.
