A news medium is looking into a prominent person who lists a BA from 'IBA' on his resume without saying what it stands for. Since the same person has a totally fake Masters, it is safe to deduce that IBA is not a fine place. But what is it?

I am having difficulties using the Google Recherche site; not to mention very expensive French internet connection on a 26k modem.

So any insights, either here or to [email protected] will be most welcome. Merci.

John, a Google search turns up a lot of IBA schools, from the Zicklin School, Internation Business Alumni to the Graduate School of International Business at Cornell..... the list is endless. Can you give us some additional information as to location? name? etc.

Alas, no. This bloke's public resume simply says 'BA, IBA' followed by a completely fake Master's, so the odds are high that IBA is not legit, but it could be.

How about the Institute for Business Administration located in Bagladesh. Entry quals look very similar to British requiremts (at what they were when I was a lot younger).
IBA claims affilliation with Indiana University in Bloomington and I noticed that 6 of their 7 professors have an MBA from Indiana.
I did not check to see if Indiana U is the legit school. http://www.geocities.com/ibasite2001/index.html

I particularly like the following quote from their webpage:

"Established in 1955, the Institute of Business Administration is the oldest business school outside North America. IBA maintains the highest standard of education through its qualified faculty and brilliant students."

Damn, good thing they have those brilliant students to help them maintain those high standards.

IBA could be a reference to the prestigous Institute for Bogus Academe . ;)

If you are in France, "IBA" will mean "I Bonks Alot" and "BA" is "Bien Amour" or if he is low calss "Bloody Awful"
