Scientist suspect in anthrax mailings lists doctorate on resume he did not receive

An interesting article in the Washington Post re: a scientist who is under suspicion for the anthrax mailings, notes that he listed on his resume that he completed his doctorate at Rhodes University in South Africa. In actuality he only submitted a thesis and never received the degree. The scientist claims that he was unaware that he did not receive the doctorate.
