Hi everyone! I am living in Venezuela and I'm interested in getting my Bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution. I'm leaning towards Excelsior but how would I go about taking all those examinations (CLEP,ECE,etc.) from here? Are there any foreign students that have graduated from Excelsior while in their own country that can help me with this question? Thanks!
I would imagine that arrangements would have to be made for you to take the exams in some sort of formal setting where it could be proctored. This is frequently done at local universities. If you contact Excelsior I'd bet they could fill you in. I'd hardly guess that yours is the first case of this sort that has come to light. Good luck, Jack
Thanks for your reply Jack. I wrote to Excelsior and they told me that it would be very difficult for me to earn my degree through examinations because I could only be tested in the States. Has anyone out there earned their degree while being in a foreign country? If so, how was it done?
Forum member Peter Glaeser earned his degree from Excelsior while in Germany, I believe, and at last report was doing graduate studies in the U.K. His announcement of those accomplishments can be read here.
