Capella's plans for APA accreditation!

I recently spoke to several of their advisors, and I was informed that Capella was planning on applying for APA accreditation within the next 6 months.

The also informed me that once this happens the process can take up to 4 years, but they are confident that the process will take not more than 2 years.

Of course, just because a school pursues any kind of accreditation does not necessarily mean that they will get it. But I have a good feeling about Capella, and they did achieve regional accreditation in record time, and I wouldn't be surprised if they get their APA in less time than anticipated.

The good news is that if you are currently pursuing a psy doctorate at Capella, it might be APA accredited by the by the time you finish.
