I saw on the news recently where F. Lee Bailey is enrolled in an online MBA program at IMPAC University . Unless I missed something its only accredidation seems to be State of Florida licensure. Am I wrong? I wonder how his fame will affect thier enrollement.

From what I read, IMPAC University is a relatively new effort.

The Chairman of IMPAC is James Irwin. His bio lists a Ph.D., but doesn't give the source (unlike other faculty bios on the site). It also doesn't know the difference between "Monterey" and "Monterrey." (I do. Sigh. )

Because I'm interested in credentialing, I looked at the other available faculty bios. (Many were listed but without links.) Of the ones listed:

    3 had traditional, accredited doctorates
3 had nontraditional, accredited doctorates (Walden, UIU, NSU)
3 had traditional, accredited master's degrees
2 had nontraditional, accredited master's degrees (Argosy, CMU)
    1 had a traditional JD

None were listed with unaccredited degrees. However, two (including the chairman) were listed as "Dr." without revealing the source. Two were listed as "Mr." without listing graduate degrees. This is odd.

Finally, 12 were listed without any bios linked. Of them, 6 were referred to as "Dr." This, too, seems odd. Or at least incomplete.

I would be very interested in learning the sources of the missing degrees. Their absense in what is normally a routine listing is....peculiar.

(BTW, the tuition charged is $360 per credit. A bit steep for an unaccredited school, IMHO. Perhaps the education and corporate connections are worth it.)
