    Honolulu University?

OK - so I was browsing some websites on Trauma Counselling and came across Dr. Jane Simington, PhD ( Motivational Speaker Dr. Jane Simington Ph.D-grief and trauma, reinventing a life of joy and promise. ) who lists as having obtained her PhD at Honolulu University in 1992.

A quick check from me showed that HU does not have accreditation - would it have had accreditation then?

    Nope - it's always been a sleazy um-school.

Just another Canadian with fake credentials. It is amazing how hr will negatively focus on immigrants with their legitimate credentials but fake seems to get a pass.

Hawaii has never had any procedure for school licensing. Just follow one simple law -- making clear in your literature that you're not accredited -- and Kamuela's your uncle. Hawaii used to have the most vigilant consumer department attorney in the country, but sadly Jeff Brunton is no longer with us, and hasn't been replaced.

I visited the Honolulu University um-campus in 1991, and found it to be a few desks in a rented room. No one was in that day.
