Robert O'Block has died https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-watch/wp/2017/08/31/the-emperor-of-junk-science-forensics-has-died/?utm_term=.af3a1f6db6c7
I had missed this posting, but I spoke at length to a writer in Missouri today, who is doing a story on it. O'Block's was the last of the seven times I was sued over the years, and in many ways, the most egregious. I really didn't say much about his certification organizations, but I did point out, on this forum, a good article about him and how he granted advanced credentials to a cat, that was in the American Bar Association journal. He didn't sue them, but he sued me for referring here to that article. As with all the suits against me, it ended satisfactorily, but only after DegreeInfo.com agreed to take down or cover up my post, at least temporarily. The main result, my wife says, is that I went around grumpy for weeks. So I am not saddened to read (albeit two years late) that O'Block murdered his young girlfriend, and then killed himself. The demise of his various certifying organizations leaves more than 60,000 "certified experts" -- some of them very well known -- adrift.
