California Coast University alternative for financial aid

Hello

I have researching high and low for an online MS in Psychology program. And CCU appears to be just what I am looking for. The problem is. They don't offer support for FAFSA. I don't plan to pay $100 out of pocket. So that's out. There are plenty of alternatives out there. But most are either too demanding, too expensive, or lacks any credibility or accreditation.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar college that is set up the same way with high quality education?

You need to be clearer about how much you can afford. Also, that whole "too demanding" thing is tricky. Part of high quality education are demanding standards. You need to be careful with this because you almost sound like you're saying that you want a cheap, easy but very high quality situation. As the factors intersect they potentially cancel each other out.

 

Fair enough. Let me reiterate.

I previously attended community college and our local state university for six years to acquire a B.S. That was a few years ago. So I am wanting to go back. But it was a ton of hard work and devotion to complete it. I remember having to give up my life for it. Looking back. I realize a lot of information is wasted. We can't possibly learn and grow at the pace that is traditionally taught in schools. It's both inefficient and ignorant. The irony to me is taking a psychology course in the least efficient way. You would think the minds of the experts would know better. But its all political and about money for the most part. I know this.

People often laugh at "alternative" methods. But the majority of knowledge come from our own efforts. That makes "nothing" a waste of time. But it can be a waste of money. And of time as well if you aren't being given the right tools. I spent three years at MSU and believe I learned more outside of college than I did in. That said. I a not hell bent on taking the traditional route unless it's the only way. I have no interest in obtaining a license to become a psychologist. It is mostly for research and enrichment for future endeavors. No interest here in becoming another pawn of the industry. Thanks.

 

You're not going to get high quality with what you're looking for. Try Capella FlexPath. It's self-paced, so I believe you'll mostly be teaching yourself.

OK then. Since you seem to be finished with insulting every practicing Psychologist in the Western Hemisphere I'll just suggest that you consider a research oriented Masters such as this

If you're not looking to become licensed, then what are your career goals? Do you even need a master's in psychology? You can read books and take MOOCs for free.
