    Guys,

I don't care what country as long as it is accredited by the MOE of said country.
My plan was to take it with a Uni in India but distance PHD have been stopped - for now.

So, have at it. Give me your cheapest uni's please. It is only for the purpose of a wage hike.

Well... Presumably if you're able to form a relationship with an advisor at one of the European universities, you can craft the PhD program largely at a distance, and European unis are cheap or free. You'd likely have to be quite far into studying your narrow area, and able to spin a killer proposal though.
For example: Dr. Robert McGee, among many other accomplishments, graduated from Tartu University in Estonia. I believe I read on it's site that it does not charge tuition from PhD students. Very, very solid public uni from an EU country, too. But, again, admissions would likely involve negotiation with faculty and alignment of research interests.

Among more conventional DL offerings, and limited to Business: Heriot-Watt DBA, while not the cheapest, appears to be a very good value for a major Scottish university. I personally like the program quite a bit.

Just so you know, on our side of the world it is PhD, as Stanislav wrote, and not PHD.

Stanislav also mentioned Estonia but you might find opportunity in any of the former Soviet satellite states, Baltic or Eastern European. Or in one of the many countries we call Asian.

Or, a favorite in this forum, UNISA.

I hope it's a really big hike, because on a part-time distance basis, you're likely looking at five, six or even more years of hard work. Add in the expense, and the payback time increases.

Be sure you'll get paid what your time, effort and money are worth. You'll be investing a lot of all three, before you see any R.O.I.

The cheapest legit PhD is still pretty darn expensive and a ton of work.

PhDs are one area where you pay for the convenience of online. I recieved my PhD from a state university and they paid me a stipend and grants that more than offset tuition and medical insurance for six years. I was also able to work self employed the whole time.
