    Hello Guys,

I am soliciting your opinion on the Humboldt State's Certificate in Faculty Preparation Program. Do you think it's worth it? I know ultimately it's my decision but I value the contribution of the members of DI.

When I applied to the program, I had applied to Franklin University's DBA program with the hopes of teaching business at a CC or a tier 2 university. I was getting ready to drop-out of Lamar's CJ program then I learned about Cal U of PA's new Doctor of Criminal Justice (DCJ) program. I already reached out to the chair of the program and he thought my career goal (teach at a CC or advance in my current field of juvenile justice) would be a good fit for the program. So I decided to continue at Lamar and apply for the DCJ next year (cohort 2 - Summer 2019). I got accepted to Franklin's DBA but I've decided to decline the offer.

I had applied to Humboldt over 6 weeks ago and I hadn't heard anything so I lost interest. Anyway, I got an acceptance email today with an apology for the late acceptance decision. Tuition is $660 per course x 4 = $2, 640 (pretty affordable).Certificate in Faculty Preparation: Teaching in Higher Education - Online Program through Humboldt State University College of eLearning & Extended Education - Arcata, Calif. Having read what I said, i.e. career goal and academic direction (LU and Cal U), do you think I should go ahead and pursue the faculty prep program?
