Isn't wise after the filing of legal papers not to say anymore? Unless, winning in public opinion is more important than winning in court. Don't get me wrong, I am your side based on what your have done over the years for greater access to education.

Years ago, I paid to go through the now-called-DEAC evaluator training program (flying to Honolulu for the purpose) and was certified as an evaluator. I was never asked to join a team. Every year or two I would ask why not, and get a boilerplate answer. The one time I asked the Executive Director in person, he rolled his eyes, as if (my interpretation) Charles Manson was asking why he wasn't asked to join a neighborhood watch group.

John Bear, certified DEAC evaluator (well, I still have the certificate and
they've never revoked it or told me otherwise)

In most cases, you are correct. However, in this case, since Dr. Lady has "lost faith" in DEAC actions (past, present and future), it appears he is simply exposing what he believes to be wrongful actions on the part of DEAC representatives.
    1. If the facts of the case are as Dr. Lady has presented them, then public exposure will hurt DEAC more than WLC.
    2. If the facts of the case are not as Dr. Lady has presented them, then the reverse case is true.

Dr. Lady has presented a compelling case against DEAC and since he has "lost faith" in their actions, the court of public opinion (aka exposure) is not a good venue for DEAC -- and Dr. Lady appears to know this. If this case makes it to trial, it will be extremely interesting to see the legal outcome, as well as the political fallout.

    Snore . . .

But seriously, with this video alone, WLC has lost its case.

Dr. Lady, indeed, has been known to us for many years. But I'm afraid that despite any loyalty some may have to him, we have to acknowledge that he is exhibiting one hell of a persecution complex at this point.

And, much as it may surprise him, I doubt that anyone at DEAC gives a crap about what he has to say. Nonetheless, I'm sure they are delighted that he has accomplished something great here - putting one foot in his mouth and the other foot up his own . . . well, you know. Much as I'm not a fan of DEAC, I've gotta admit that they must be giddy with laughter at this point.

You've got to wonder if, at any point in this charade, his attorney ever said to him, "Dave, shut up already."

The mere fact that a legal action has allegedly been filed will make this news - at least in the Chronicle of Higher Education. But the phrase "15 minutes of fame" comes to mind. And I'm afraid, at this point, that Dave has already had his.

Maybe time for Dr Lady to apply to another NA agency for accreditation.
It may be better to put the energy in to that as well?

Okay, am I the only one who senses a touch of suicidality here, both in the written message and in the tone of the video?

Needless to say, I hope I'm wrong.

According to the comments after the video, ASIC has already volunteered.

I like Dr lady so that is my bias. My point was supposed to be similar to yours but I don't have your eloquence. I think after this his last post, he should go quiet and then come back to us with the win. My guess DEAC will go through every public statement, looking for something even if it has not been said like- intent to..frame of mind...looking for whatever the civil form of mens rea is etc...Wise legal counsel is always to say nothing...counsel then becomes your mouth.

I think some one was kidding about ASIC.
They proposal for AACSB or ACBSP sounds appropriate.
I hope Dr Lady will follow that path.

I'm sorry, but this looks so unprofessional for someone who is about to go to court. If there is anything going on behind the scenes involving attitude and cooperativeness, this video is only going to help DEAC.

I've never been prouder of someone than this video. Finally someone standing up for what is right. Increadable. God bless and good luck.

Seems like a good way to memorialize the series of events while they are still fresh in the mind. It also shows that WLC went to great lengths in order to work with DEAC.

Our lawyer has suggested I create more videos systematically going through the false DEAC statements, using evidence. I will start with the show cause order. My focus will be aligning their actions to the federal laws they have broken identified in our complaint.

We are going to start using press releases instead of posts here, as they are a more effective means of reaching a broader audiance.

If your lawyer advised you to do this by all means do more. I am 100% with you.

AACSB and ACBSP would require WLC to be RA before even considering them. They are programmatic, not institutional, accreditors. Once DEAC drops WLC (because, I mean, really, very few come back from the brink) they will need an institutional accreditor before they can even think of programmatic accreditation.

Not if they get MOE recognition of lets say Turks And Caicos.
WLC is legitimate college with MBA program that in my humble view is good.
May be expension to Turks And Caicos and working on the local MOE recognition can lead to educational membership and early stage of application for accreditation with AACSB or ACBSP.

I don't know. As the saying goes, sunlight is often the best disinfectant.

There are some people in life who only understand two things; lawyers and bad publicity.

Almost surely. I hope you post those releases here as well, though.

Also, you've made it pretty clear your next opportunity will be in a different area than education, but I still hope you won't be a stranger.

I find it intriguing that Dr. Lady’s current LinkedIn profile lists his main current employment (since 2015) as President of GeoSpace Laboratories. His second current employment (since 2011) is as CEO of Daxeon Corporation (formerly AIMS. Next, he is a consultant to The Rupert Group, whose clients include some Fortune 500 companies. Until a few months ago, he was also Chief Executive of the Northern Colorado Land Company (2012-2016). And then, at the end, he lists a “volunteer experience” as Chief Executive of Loveland College.
