    i decided to email UVA about their program.

    Apparently they're getting some concentrations approved by Fall of 2018 term.

    Once of those is actually an IT concentration.

    So you could get a UVA BIS degree with a concentration in IT.

    This is a great opportunity for someone with an Associate's degree, or who is starting out and doesn't mind doing one first. UVa is pretty stingy when to comes to accepting credit by examination, though, alas. (Georgetown's Bachelor of Liberal Studies is better for that, but they don't do online.)

    6 credit hours of English composition
    6 credit hours of humanities
    6 credit hours of social sciences
    12 credit hours of math and/or natural science

    may I earn this credit at UNC Friday Center or other self-paced courses?
