Great article! Thanks for sharing. At the end of the article, it states that you and Mr. Selby are co-authors of the forthcoming "Cyber Survival Manual". When I clicked the link and landed on the Amazon page for the book, the page, and the book cover, says the authors are Selby and Heather Vescent. Is that an editorial mistake or what am I missing?

Excellent article and congrats! Real eye-opening stuff. 100k feds (and nuclear engineers!) with degrees from diploma mills! Guess that federal hiring freeze couldn't be more perfectly timed!

Holy cow! There must be a 5-grand discount coupon for Harvard inside the cover!

OK, for you only, you can have it for $1,895. Or if you go to the excellent site at www.bookfinder.com, you'll find many copies for sale as low as $4.30 including postage.

It is long out of date -- Mariah and I would love to do a new edition, if the people at Random House would ever give the go ahead -- but it still has an awful lot of useful information in it. And no, we don't get a royalty on that $4.30 sale. -John

Good catch, Gabe. What you're missing (because you couldn't have known) is that the book actually has five authors, the two main ones (which Amazon lists) and three others who contributed substantial sections. The Dallas newspaper didn't want to list 5 authors, so Nick chose the two relevant ones. Eventually the book will list all five, but three of us may end up as an "and" or a "with."
