It's good that they did it. It's bad that they had to be the ones to do it.

Wow, GREAT job by the cub reporters!!

Did anyone else notice that the school department still referred to the fraud as "Doctor", even after she resigned in disgrace? :wtf:

Not surprising. They didn't do their homework, so they have egg on their face as well.

    Precisely.

The high-school journalists seem to have figured it out well enough, talking to CHEA. Sad that the adult educators that hired this woman couldn't do that.

    Corllins University?

Here's one of several Degreeinfo threads that mention it. The thread starter in this one spoke to their boiler-room operation and was told that Corllins was in San Francisco. (The Corllins rep seems to have gotten Corllins confused with "Ashley University" at least once.)

It appears to be another Axact operation out of Pakistan.

The local Pittsburg KS city newspaper contacted the California BPPE who said they have no record of a Corllins University ever being approved in California, despite claims in this latest KS episode that Corllins was located in Stockton (not SF).

This story says that the principal's credentials had supposedly been verified by the US State Department in a document signed by Hillary Clinton! (An apostile, I'm guessing.)

It certainly is. Perhaps the teen journalists could do a bit of further sleuthing and expose more fake qualifications (or outbreaks of stupidity) among the adults entrusted with their education.

Tip: If you really want to throw a scare into them, tell them there's going to be an IQ test.

    It is, yes.

There are other Axact schools that claim they're located in Stockton, for example Adamsville University.

The standard degree package includes a diploma, a transcript, a certificate of excellence, sometimes additional certificates, documents and even memorabilia like car stickers and a document from a notary public for the District of Columbia (or a state). Last but not least, there's also a document signed by the US Secretary of State. I have samples carrying the fake, I suppose, signature of Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.

It wasn't just the would-be principal who was 'disgraced'. The School Board was disgraced just as surely. They apparently didn't do even the most minimal due-diligence, verifying their new hire's educational claims.

    She's still stone-walling.

The Kansas City Star has a scathing story that includes her response. She says that she won't respond to the students since "their concerns are not based on facts". She insists that her degrees have been "authenticated by the US government".

It isn't just her educational claims that weren't verified. Apparently her school administrative experience wasn't checked very closely either.

The Star mentions events several years ago in Dubai, where a private American school where she was principal repeatedly failed inspections and ended up being closed.

Sounds like she didn't leave her job as an Education Consultant in Dubai under good circumstances.

Also, if I had to pick one country to screw around with the regulatory rules in I imagine Dubai would be at the bottom of my list.

I'm surprised and delighted by the coverage this story is getting: long articles in Washington Post, NY Times, on CBS, etc.

Just goes to show how real investigative journalism, even on such a small scale, can have such a major impact.

These kids are really smart more than 70% of college students. Most of the college students do not know if their school is accredited or not. I used to talk to couple kids at George Mason University that I went High School with. I asked them if they know George Mason University is an accredited institution? They asked me what I do I mean accreditation.
