(RDI) Arden University, are the degrees recognized in Canada and US?

Hey guys,

So I posted in the MBA section before, I want to upgrade my qualifications as an engineer, I'm paid a lot for what I do, but I am trying to access higher positions.

I do not hold a bachelor, so I have been looking online to what to do. UK universities seem the way to go. I found an engineering management master at Arden university, 6 courses + project.

This is interesting to me, because, it's relatively cheap (12k), it's relatively fast to do, it would give me better qualifications now and if the degree recognized in Canada, I can join an AACSB MBA in Quebec for next to nothing (5-7k CAN) after.

Question is, Arden while it is a UK granting uni, and the program is accredited by the CMI (a UK professional body), this uni is a for-profit. Looking online I can see that it's not something well regarded in the academic world. Will this degree be recognized outside of the UK?

One quick way to check recognition in Canada is to check on web site of WES Canada.

I don't see Arden on the list on WES CA so its a bad sign already.

From experience, the list on WES Canada is pretty useless. It omits many RA schools (that WES obviously will evaluate as equivalent), yet includes some that it will not; Ashworth among them.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the fact that Arden is recognized in UK very likely means you could get it evaluated as equivalent in Canada. It doesn't mean it would be respected on par with local schools, though.
