I ran into this article and read just enough so that my hair began to hurt. These Swiss schools have always been hard for me to pin down. Maybe that's the point. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/data-protection-privacy-rights-biometrics-145200363.html
My hair didn't hurt (I have none) but my head did - especially when I got to the University site at: http://distanceuniversity.ch/about-us/portrait/ (1) Some degrees are offered in German, others in French. None in English, apparently. So what's the point of advertising them totally in English? Das macht keinen Sinn. Cela n'a aucun sens. (It makes no sense.) (2) The University says over and over that it's recognized - as what? By whom? It's not on the Swiss Federation approval list! No, it's dangety well not! See for yourself. https://www.swissuniversities.ch/en/higher-education-area/recognised-swiss-higher-education-institutions/ Have a look yourselves and see what you think. OOPS! IT IS RECOGNIZED! MY BAD! It's there, all right - just not under its English name. Here it is: "Stiftung Universitäre Fernstudien Schweiz, Brig / Fondation Formation universitaire à distance, Suisse à Brigue" Here's the German-language site: FernUni.ch - fernuni.ch J.
