    Hello,

I've been looking through Industrial Organizational Psychology programs for a while now and other than the cost varying it is hard to tell if one is more quality an education than the others. There are numerous accredations such as the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Higher Learning Commission, and New England Association of Schools and Colleges to name a few. So I am not sure what to look for in an online school, as reviews will likely be very skewed by those either new and excited to just be making progress or those who failed for a plethora of possible reasons.

I have attended and graduated from Argosy University online for a BA in Psychology, and the classes were far easier than I expected. Knowing a BA in Psychology was a very general degree that offered little in the way of job prospects (and Argosy's terrible assistance tools in helping to locate jobs that fit my qualifications), I was not too concerned about this as it was meant to be a sort of stepping-stone for a graduate degree. But this is where I am at a sticking point as I do not want to spend $20,000+ for a degree that leaves me unqualified or makes it difficult to find employment due to a stigma over the university's name. Having 3 young children, online classes are far easier for me to fit into my day and allow me to be a father first.

Any assistance/guidance is greatly appreciated, thank you.

These are the names of regional accreditation agencies - they are the gold standard of accreditation. They each represent a different region of the country (USA).

You have named four of the six regionals. The other two are the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Northwestern Association of Schools and Colleges.

I guess there is apparently a seventh now, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, which was formerly a part of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

And when did the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges secede from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges?
