I think it might be easier for you to start a distinct thread that lists all the fast, easy, cheap, and non-prestigious graduate degrees that you're not interested in.

Funny Bruce....All great new things start from the power of one. Western Esotericism might just be on the rise and we have heard it here first!!

Thank you Bruce, back to the main point of my post.

You've also been looking for programs that are $4K, $6-8K, $15K, and in psychology and divinity. And you obviously have no clue about what is involved in any of those programs.

It is quite obviously that what you really want is to be a guru. And you don't need any degree for that.

Sorry if I seem a bit snarky, but once again the expression comes to mind that when your head stops spinning, we can only hope that it is facing forward.

I can see this dude or dudette as the next John Grey - with an unaccredited correspondence degree, who wants to write the next Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus. Come to think of that, it also worked for L. Ron Hubbard.

Maybe I'm just having a bad day but I've found myself a bit annoyed by your request. What do you think, is it just me? Maybe it's that whole "cheap and fast" thingy combined with my impression that you not only have no idea what you want, but you've also done no searching (google is your friend) for these programs on your own. Is there anything you can tell me that might help me to shift my mood?

From a poster called ethanre on Student Doctor Network in 2009...

"Does anyone out there know of a reputable psyd or phd online program..." ( list of requirements)

Looks like this um-search might have been going on for a while...

Work is over, I went for a run and had something to eat so now I'm feeling a little more human and a little more generous. The first thing is a reality slap for ethan. You're not going to be admitted into a legitimate doctoral program without a substantial background in that area or a closely related area. So stop fooling around, stop procrastinating, make a decision an get started by just taking a few courses that interest you. In the meantime, look at this

    And there's this:

University of Philosophical Research | A Non-Profit, Contemporary, Online Wisdom Academy | Philosophy, Psychology, Culture and Religion | Online M.A. and B.A. Degree Programs

I've always kind of liked this school, it was one of my California-approved favorites back in the day. It operates out of Los Angeles and is currently accredited by DEAC. Offers MAs in 'Consciousness Studies' and in 'Transformational Psychology' by DL, and the degrees definitely have a strong Western Esoteric emphasis.

The UPRS is the educational arm of an organization called the Philosophical Research Society, founded by Manley Hall, a self-taught Canadian-born esoterist who spent most of his life in LA. He's the author of no end of popular esoteric books.

They have a 50,000 volume esoteric research library (Carl Jung did some of his research on alchemy there).

There's a symbolic art gallery with some interesting online material

And their faculty list has several big names.

Tuition for the entire program, including incidentals like application and graduation fees, is less than $10K US. It's also possible to take classes individually.

Add me to the list. That's at least 3 "likes." The school is DEAC accredited, so maybe there's the possibility of adding a D.A. or similar at some point à la Harrison Middleton U. - who knows?
