I'm against multi-cultural integration. Without competition there is no progress but a regress to the lowest standards.

I'm against international standards and benchmarks. Just imagine the UN in charge and shrink in horror from the thought.

If you are familiar with IFRS, what is your opinion?

Many non-European companies adapt ISO standards. They do not have to, but if they do, access to the European market becomes a bit easier.

I am with you on the UN. Another international organization I have been getting disenfranchised with is the Red Cross. It pulls in a lot of money but it does not seems to spend as much. The local organizations seem to do more with less in a faster time.

It looks like IFRS is an alternative to GAAP. I haven't an informed opinion but generally welcome competition.

Adopting ISO standards voluntarily meets my favor. So, if my favor meant a crap then all would be well. If the adopting is voluntary then the standards can also be discarded.
