Reading the article, it almost seems as though the author acknowledges that a problem exists and that she just thinks that using the terms "loan crisis" or "debt crisis" is counter-productive to solving the problem. One would think that refusing to call a spade a spade would actually help to make the problem worse.

Sure! Disown the problem; refuse to tell it like it is and it'll go away, right? And maybe "a bold move to stimulate the economy" by building more and better debtors' prisons.

Ignoring debt sounds like a great idea. Too bad, that's why we're in the crisis in the first place. Although I know some simply can't afford the debt that they were forced to sign for at gun point.

According to Peter Schiff, each of us is on the hook for $3,800 at this point. Better bust that checkbook out!
