Steve, just wished to thank you for the info regarding the Leadseship doctorate at Cumberland. I called admissions and although the price is right and the faculty is accessible unfortunately the curriculum is not exactly what I'm seeking.

I narrowed my options to Aspen's doctorate in Leadership and Organizational Psychology as well as the Executive doctorate in Juris Prudence at either Concord U (Health Track) or Taft U.

Because you made this open, I think you have made a choice that had has a high probability of being a mistake. Unless for a small differential in price, I can't see how your choice is the best choice in the long-term even though it possible could.

What is the basis for your opinion?

Research on schools is so easily accessible online. I'm not taking anything away from the schools you've narrowed down to, they are both fine programs. But considering the types of degrees you're going for I'd personally keep searching for more possibilities as there definitely has to be programs offering those that are of greater prestige, which will obviously serve you better career-wise if that's the purpose.

Steve, I'm not seeking a doctorate for career enhancement or for promotion purposes but primarily for personal satisfaction and attaining a goal that I've long thought about attaining.

A Personal not scientific opinion, however, it shows my bias as a potential employer. I may not be in the minority which sucks.

I see. However, as mentioned, I'm not seeking a doctorate for employment purposes.

Look again, I'm not the one arguing with you.

In fact, given everything you've said, it sounds like almost any doctorate would do so long as you like the subject matter. Although, given that as a consultant you probably want you refer to yourself as "doctor" to impress the unwary, you should go with Aspen (which enables that) and not an executive JD (which really doesn't).

Steve, not only don't I see you arguing with me but appreciate your feedback and recommendations.

I've looked into various Psychology doctoral programs but due to the fact that they require repeating doctoral courses I completed over ten years ago, it doesn't motivate me to take that route (or spend big bucks to do so).
