Can anyone recommend an online RA university that I can get the one graduate class? So long as it's RA and they have business courses at the graduate level is all that I really need. I'm just looking for the cheapest available since it's just one class. I know that most school will require me to work towards a degree or certificate, which is fine so long as it's inexpensive.
Bottom line, cheapest possible business graduate course that is RA. Just wanting to have the 18 minimum credits.

Why not just take another class at your current university?

My current university doesn't allow enrollment for individual classes.

That's strange- are you sure? If you're in a degree program, they should allow you to take another course in that same department. I understand if *I were to come in off the street that they wouldn't let *me take an individual course, but an enrolled student? You should write your department chair and or department advisor an email. They can over-ride that. Having all 18 on one transcript just seems like a no-brainer. No disrespect to our very bright HR members here, but in general, people shut down things they don't understand- and I expect the average HR person to find this complected (I get it- it isn't, but we're not average here lol).

IF HR is told that a person needs 18 credits in something then HR will look for 18 credits in something. We don't need to understand a department's requirement to enforce it.

But I've also never personally experienced HR, in higher education hiring, actually evaluating credentials. That is typically done by the hiring department. Granted, I'm basing this off of my experience getting hired at two CCs and conversations I've had with colleagues while visiting SU, BU and Cornell. So this is about as anecdotal as it gets and I'm sure this may vary.

I mean, we're good and all, but you guys don't really think that a physics department leaves it up to HR to vet candidates do you? In higher ed, it isn't uncommon (from my limited view) for HR to have very limited involvement in academic hiring. They play a slightly more prominent role in non-academic staff hiring.

But, in general, HR doesnt actually so much hiring. We are looking for red flags that might disqualify a person no matter their expertise. The questions I ask are typically exactly the same for an engineer, a marketing person or an attorney. It's the hiring manager who, delves into specialty questions and vets qualifications.

Firms that allow HR to do all of the hiring typically only do so with very low level positions or for positions where the hiring process is, more or less, so automated that it just requires an operator to periodically push people through with a broomstick if they get stuck on a loading page.

    But for the OP...

Yeah, ask if you can just get it from the same school. It sounds like it may be a case where you dropped out of a grad program and they won't let you take another class without reenrolling in the program again. If that's the case, CSU is a pretty solid choice. But another school means another set of transcripts to keep track of.

Just sent the email to my school. I agree that taking one course would be dumb from another school, but I may end up perusing a graduate certificate so that it counts towards something maybe. If this working out maybe I wont have too. :fingers crossed:

At both CSUDH and ERAU I took two courses before signing up to pursue a masters degree. I did this to access my chances og earning a masters degree. By the way I took what I thought would be the toughest courses.
Both these universities have masters business degrees.

But AMU might be a another option because it is easy to sign up. http://www.amu.apus.edu/academic/schools/business/masters/management.html
