The Google search engine sells sponsored links as one of its revenue sources. It appears that Pennington University has decided that this is an opportunity for them to drum up some more business.

Ironically, if one searches for the term "fake degree" using Google, Pennington shows up as a sponsored link.

Thanks for this information, which is both sad and funny, I guess.

If I were granted one wish by the Data Fairy, I think it would be to know what percentage of people who acquire phony degrees know exactly what they are doing (and plan to try to fool others); what percentage are genuinely fooled; and how many are somewhere in between. I really haven't got a clue as to whether we're looking at 90-10 or 10-90 or what.

As far as I'm concerned, obtaining an unaccredited degree is a waste.

Into what catagory would you put those who went to Columbia Pacific on your recommendation?

  5. CPU degrees were not phony. (Substandard, some would say, but not phony.) So the question is not relevant.
