The State of Hawaii and the American International University of Management & Technology have reached an agreement whereby AIUMT has agreed to cease doing business in, from or under the color of Hawaii law. Upon being notified of the state’s investigation, AIUMT actually ceased doing business under Hawaii’s laws on August 13, 2001. AIUMT has also agreed to offer students who enrolled or graduated after July 1, 1999 full restitution conditioned on the return of their diplomas and to make a payment to the State of Hawaii.
