    Tough one...

An art school BA, poss in art ed.
Your qestion is a tough one.
The central issue is how independently d o you want
    your study to be?

I best Ohio University's external progrma has handled such requests before--but I'm speaking without first hand info.

Syracuse has a great MA program in Art Illustration--
perhaps they would accomodate a BA in Liberal Studies
    that is very similar.

    Charter Oak State College
offers a BA in Applied (Studio) Art--at low cost.
Again, precisely how you fullfil (sp?) the studio
requirements,,,? Perhaps a call or email to their
very helpful staff eould clarify your options.

The problem with Suduio Arts is like the hard sciences--
lab components are performance requirements; these cannot
be standardized! There are portfolio options,
but what if one need guidance, development, best done
    under a mentor?

Another external degree program is Bemiji State University
(State of Minnesota); they do a lot of teacher training,
and may have an art ed program to draw upon...
Likewise, the University of Wisconsin System has schools
that do external degrees oriented towards teaher training
    (UW-Superior, UW-Green Bay).

Have you examined THE authority? Bear's Guide To Non-Traditional Degrees? You coul follow up with an
author query at degree.net (he's on this board, too).
    Good luck!
