Can anyone just tell me what to do?

I'm so overwhelmed and don't know where to start with all of this. If anyone can just tell me what I have to do t get ANY bachelors degree, as fast as possible, that's accredited and transferable, in case I'd like to go for my masters or a concentration later. Right now, I just need that Bachelors. Here's a list of my credits from a county college:

Western civ (1 & 2)
world religions
English (1&2)
Gen Psyc
Public Speaking
Small business management
Macroeconomics
Intro to law/Legal Assistant
Sociology
Psyc of Personality

Altogether it's 39 credits.

I'm currently a student at TESU, but owe them $1400 for classes I couldn't complete due to computer problems. I'm paying that off.

I've read about CLEP, ACE, Saylor, etc., just don't know where to start! If anyone has the time or energy to just literally tell me what t do and finish up as fast and cheaply as possible, I would be forever grateful. I am really good at testing. I can really study and pass any test in front of me.

You actually have a pretty good variety of credits to fit in a lot of schools' General Education requirements.

If someone hasn't chimed in by the time I get home later to a computer, I'll offer my thoughts when I'm able.

 

You might as well stay at TESU. It's one of only three colleges that will let you almost completely test out of your degree. The other two are Excelsior College and Charter Oak State College Most colleges are going to want all of your transcripts either before you enroll or before you graduate. Unless you omit TESU from your application and risk being kicked out or having your degree revoked later on, you're going to have to pay off TESU before you can get your transcript.

All I have are test out plans for TESU, and I don't know when you were enrolled. If you maintained enrollment from before July 1, 2015, then the general education requirements will be different from what they are now. If you have to re-enroll, then you'll have to take a 1-credit cornerstone course that costs $300.

I'm posting links to TESU's most test-friendly degrees. All of them will require a capstone that will have to be taken as a course at TESU, except for the BSBA programs. You can test out of the BSBA capstone with a TECEP.

Thanks for responding! I enrolled may 2015. Shortly after that Murphy's Law took full effect, and I failed the two courses, then failed another two courses due to computer failure (all my fault and pure stupidity). I am making payments toward the balance and should have it taken care of in the next month or so.

You'll get a lot of good and current advice on the "Big Three" here. But you might also check out CLEP Forum - CLEP Study - CLEP Testing - Study Guide and Strategies. They have a very busy section on this subject.

Did you write to TESU and ask for a reduction in your $1400? Be honest about why you failed the exams and ask if you can retake exams at no further cost. It can't hurt to ask.

 

A lot of what I would have offered has been said.

The only thing I think I can add is that ACE or NCCRS courses are a way to go as well. Many of the exams you'd be taking if you test out are ACE approved. But there are some courses that can fill in some interesting gaps. NCCRS has some pretty decent religious studies offerings, for example. Penn Foster also has some decent business administration and accounting courses which happen to align pretty closely to TESU degree requirements.

If you can test out. Do it. But if you have some weird needs then hunt around there are some interesting course options out there.

No weird needs at all, just want t have that feeling of being finished with it finally, come hell or high waters. I'm new, and sort of thought that nccrs was the same as ace...I am blonde.
