Years ago, I began a doctoral program at California Coast University and completed almost all of the work. Life happened and I suspended the endeavor.

I am happy to say that after contacting the school, I discovered that they are still able to "teach out" the degree even now. This is only the case until August of next year, 2017 due to the rules related to their current accreditation.

I now have a contract of the remaining course work, etc. and look forward to finally earning the degree. Even though I have a license in my field and a RA Masters, I am excited to finish the degree.

Anyone who began their degree but didn't finish should contact CCU.

BTW, their staff is extremely responsive, professional and helpful!

Congratulations. This supports my continuing contention that graduate school is largely about negotiation. You don't have to be held to the printed rules. Explain your situation and see what the university can do.

    Good onya!

How true Rich. If you approach them with respect and enthusiasm for getting into the work, I think people work harder to accommodate. I am happy to have this opportunity and will go for it with devotion.
