    Hi, all.

My undergraduate degree is from a top 50 national university, and after spending 15 years building my communications career, I've been hunting for a complementary degree. I don't mean to sound like a snob, but it's important to me that my Master's degree feels like it "corresponds" in quality to my undergraduate... It's also important to me that my online degree is from a top brick-and-mortar school, and the search has honestly been really difficult.

Maybe everybody already knows about this website, but I came across an incredible resource if you feel the same way I do about continuing education online:

Elite Online - Only the Top 200 National Universities: Every online program, updated regularly. – Elite Online.

This site shows every online program (degree, course, certificate) from ONLY the Top 200 national universities based on U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking--in order. This was a goldmine for me, and led me to the recently released Georgetown University MA in Corporate Communications.

They say it's updated daily, and that must be the case because the Admissions Counselor I talked to said the Georgetown program JUST debuted this month... Anyway, I hope this information is valuable to you if you're looking for an online education from a top school. The site is really easy to use.

Sorry, I'm not intended to advertise. I'm a real person who is actually talking to Georgetown University about this degree. I had my initial interview yesterday and the MA Corporate Communications program sounds amazing. $35k total degree, 2.5 years, 30 credits, and entirely online. Very little testing, and primarily project-based. I work full-time managing a communications firm, so it's critical to me that I'm not bogged down by busy work just because the program is online. Georgetown's offerings sound like a good fit. Anyway, just sharing and thought the website's job of focusing on only top 200 was useful... At least to me.

I actually appreciate that link- good info, even if it is a not so subtle pitch. Duke's Cross-continent MBA - wow

Thanks, Cookderosa. Sorry if that seemed like an advertisement—I'm a real person actually preparing to embark on my Master's online. So far I've talked to Georgetown, Purdue, and USC. I had my initial interview with Georgetown yesterday, and I REALLY like this program. It's brand new, as their on-campus modality is just being converted to online format. The details: 2.5 years (full-length semesters), ~$35k all said and done for 30 credits. I had a great conversation with the admissions representative last week. USC's equivalent offering is over-priced in my opinion... Anyway, I had a hell of a time sorting through online options for "prestigious" schools because they so often bury them or make it difficult to find the content. I just the simply ranking and searchable system of that website was useful. Anyway, I'm likely going to proceed with Georgetown's MA in Corporate Comm. Happy searching, everyone.

Nothing wrong with pursuing a degree through the best school you can get into.

it's a good load of recourse from that site.

never knew Miami U had an undergraduate completion program.

some schools are missing programs, eg, Florida State's Computer Science program is not showing up.

maybe after all the teething issues, everything should be all good

Don't know if it's my computer that's malfunctioning or the site, but it will only load a limited number of programs, then the little symbol that indicates a download in progress shows up perpetually at the bottom, and no more programs show up. So, in many cases, I'm able to see less than 1/4 of the available programs out of the top 200.

It's the same for me. I think the website isn't working properly.

Do a hard refresh on that page.

No idea, tried the hard refresh, didn't work. Unfortunate, because this is a site in which I have genuine interest and I'm sure others do as well, but if they can't get their stuff together and make their site work, it's not going to be of much value.

I fiddled around with it and got it to work--sort of. There are some omissions, such as I can't find Georgetown's online LL.M and someone needs to tell them that Ed.S is not a Doctor of Science in Education, but if they can work the bugs out, they could be rocking and rolling.

It worked for me; certainly not comprehensive, but a nice tool that can save some serious searching time.

It works for me if I log in, then right click and click "open image in new tab". The new tab has functionality.
