The State of Hawaii has settled the pending litigation against Stanton University, Inc. (a Hawaii corporation) and its principals, Ms. Jacqueline May and Mr. Elmer May of Texas and Mr. Richard Gao of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The settlement is documented by a Stipulated Judgment and Permanent Injunction which is being filed with the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii.

Under the terms of the settlement, Stanton and its principals have agreed to cease and are enjoined from the operation of any unaccredited degree granting institution in, from or under the claimed authority of Hawaii and its laws. They have also dissolved the corporation. The defendants have also agreed to offer full restitution to all Stanton graduates and students after July 1, 1999 and have paid a civil penalty of $10,000.
