Any Distance Learning PhD in Management from UK University?

Hello Everyone,

I am based in the United States and I would like to do a Distance Learning PhD in Management from any UK university. I did my Distance Learning MSc from University of Wales and I want to continue pursuing doctorate through UK university. I am currently working full-time, therefore, only distance learning/online program would work for me.

I am aware of University of Leicester but that is no longer an option for me. University of Liverpool offers online DBA, however, PhD is my interest not DBA.

My preference is UK university instead of US for several reasons that I don't wish to disclose in this thread as I wish to respectfully avoid.

I would appreciate if someone could point to UK universities that offer Management Distance Learning PhD as I am having a challenge locating one.

I did a search and inquiry long time ago. Lancaster University offers Ph.D in Management requires one residency per semester on campus. If University of Leicester's Ph.D in Management's residency problem for you, then Lancaster University's program definitely not for you because its requires more travel to campus.

 

If you are looking for UK, go ahead with Leicester. Their School of Management has excellent reputation and they provide excellent support to DL Students.

 

When I started at Leicester, the program was operated by the Centre for Labour Market Studies, separate from any of the other schools of the university. As such, the DSocSci has a real social science (and macroeconomic) bent to it. A few years ago the CLMS' programs were folded into the School of Management. I've been in touch with the head of the doctoral program regarding contemplated changes, but nothing new to report.

The PhD from the department of management and languages is not a DL programme. The DBA from Edinburgh Business School is.

 

I haven't checked but Birmingham has a lot of DL programs. Could be worth a peek.

I noticed that the program is at the Edinburgh Napier University.

I have not heard of this university. Is this reputable in the UK?

 

Yes, it does have but they are not Management.
