I have decided to take the plunge and earn an MBA from Amberton University. So far the admissions process was quite easy (submit transcripts, no application fee, and register for courses). I start next month and will only have 8 courses/24 SCH to complete, as the university accepted 12 SCH I have from a previous masters degree. At $750 usd per course this is a real steal.

It was suggested I earn an MBA in order to transition into a new position at the Business/IT School at the university where I currently work full time.

An MBA for six thousand bucks? Sounds good to me. Good luck!

The old watch word is "utility". If it's going to serve your purposes then it's all good. Best of luck and please keep us updated.

You have a doctorate and now you are going to earn an MBA?

After earning a professional doctorate, I completed an MTh. Uncle Janko, rest his soul, asked why, after earning a doctorate, I would want to earn another masters. I remember telling him I loved the learning process. Of course, I followed the MTh with a PhD.

All the best in your program.

Interestingly, Uncle Janko had just enrolled at Charter Oak at the time of his untimely passing. At the time I asked the administration about posthumous conferral, but he hadn't made enough progress.
