Anyone who's knowledgeable with the UK Higher Education system, would this credential generally fulfill the 18-semester hour graduate credit threshold that many US schools use for teaching positions? Sociology (Diploma for Graduates) | University of London International Programmes Thanks!
It's an interesting question and while I can't be certain, I'd guess that you could make that work. The pricetag makes it an attractive prospect. In case it's useful, here are some other Sociology grad programs. http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/47849-seeking-online-masters-sociology-american-studies.html
I am pretty sure this is an undergraduate qualification. Essentially, a second major. Graduate level is PGDip and Master's, and these are not as inexpensive (and Sociology is not available). In itself, it is a great credential. My wife has one of these (in Finance and Banking)
Thanks. When I look at UK, SA, and Australian school websites, sometimes I wonder if we're actually speaking the same language! :ugh:
