Anyone know anything or had any experience with DePauls School for New Learning Program? snlonline.net
DePaul I am having trouble finding information about the DePaul School for New Learning program as well. If you have any feedback on your experiences, I would appreciate it.
Posts from students or graduates would be very helpful. I briefly looked at the program a year ago. It is a prominent name school. The recognition factor may be valuable DePaul sends out some pretty reasonable marketing material on the program, It is basically a Liberal Studies degee It seems to mostly be a portfolio/independent study program Tuition is expensive http://www.snl.depaul.edu/ I hope this post is helpful.
Thank you! Thanks for the information. I heard that the distance division of the School for New Learning was relatively new. Although I knew that DePaul University enjoyed a good reputation, I wasn't sure that the placement of "School for New Learning" after DePaul on the awarded degree would be as favorable.
Re: Thank you! Hi Dawn I was referring to the reputation of DePaul. Like you, I am unfamiliar with SNL. I believe that dl degrees from known schools are usually held with the same regard as their traditional degrees. In the SNL program you receive a BA with a concentration in a specific area. Most people will regard this as a standard DePaul degree. Good luck in your decision.
