Does anyone know if there exists any master's-level degree completion programs, similar to Excelsior's bachelor's level programs? I doubt these exist, but if they do and anyone knows of such, I'd like to be informed.

Generally, no. But Excelsior has a pretty liberal master's program.

A master's is only (typically) 30-36 s.h. long. If you're going to do a degree with a particular school, they'll want you do do a significant portion of their degree program. That's why they limit transfer credit to (typically) 6-12 s.h.

There are also some flexible degree programs with significant self-design features. You can incorporate your prior learning, but expect to do substantial new work anyway.

If your studies are in business, you could consider doing the EBS MBA, which you can earn by purchasing their courses and passing their exams. It's self-paced. But it's also hard.

Thanks, Rich. I'm half way through my MFA in creative writing, but work and health issues are making it hard for me to continue with the degree.
