Some people think that attending lectures in person is better than listening to online lectures. Suppose there is a student who attends a B&M school and he attends all of the lectures for his class in person. However, he rarely talks. He hardly ever asks questions, makes comments, or participates in class discussions. How would his education be better than the student who listens to lectures online?
I like in person lectures because I can ask questions in the moment. I like online lectures because I can usually watch/listen to it again if I want.
I agree with Kizmet. For my own tastes, however, I prefer online lectures because I'm in control. You may lose the ability to ask questions, but you gain the ability to listen to parts of it again, repeating something that is not clear. It also depends on how self-motivated and mature the student is. You need both of those attributes to succeed in most online classes.
