I've been very interested in the Engineering technology field and I've been researching different schools that offer the program. I've been considering Penn Foster for an associates in Engineering Technology then transferring to Grantham University to get my bachelors in electronics engineering technology. Does anyone have any experience with these 2 schools and programs? Will the credits I earn from penn foster transfer over? I was considering Excelsior too but I just can't bring myself to pay that much just for an ABET accreditation

The good thing about Excelsior is that you can test out of the general education and free elective requirements. This saves a lot of money. Not having regional accreditation does limit the transferability of Penn Foster's courses to regionally accredited schools. ACE evaluation helps somewhat, especially at schools like Excelsior, Charter Oak, and Thomas Edison; but, I'm not sure how many of PF's engineering technology courses are currently ACE-approved. You have to check the dates on the ACE National Guide. They've let a lot of their approvals expire and seem to keep them mostly for the business, general education, and criminal justice courses.

How much is your budget ?

Could have sworn I posted somewhere here that ENMU has an Engineering Tech program. At $200/hour, whole program is $24k.
Get some credits from your local CC + CLEPs. you can probably cut that price into half.
