Discerning between PhD programs at UNISA

I am completing an MA English program, along with certifications in TESOL and Professional Writing.

I have looked at the PhD programs at UNISA, but my interest is interdisciplinary - religion, theology, literature, gender studies and English.

Please share your ideas as to how, or if, this is possible at UNISA. Would I need to do another Masters in, say religion/theology, to be considered for a PhD which encompasses that field?

They do now have an Institute of Gender Studies which could possibly accommodate my interest, but until they have additional staff, this option is not available.

In addition, UNISA has revamped several Masters courses to be research-only degrees.
