I'm looking at several online degree programs and was wondering if anyone may have or know anything about them. The choices are Almeda College, Americus University, and St. Regis University. Any help would be appreciated.
All are, as Rich Douglas puts it, businesses masquerading as schools. All are unaccredited, and the degrees wouldn't be recognized by much of anyone. Degrees from these schools would be useful for lining a birdcage, but not much else. If you're looking for a legitimate program, please let us know your specific area of study and degree level, and you'll get some useful suggestions. Thanks
A good place to start is Oregan's office of Degree Authorization's list of Degrees from these institutions are illegal for use in Oregon: if it is listed there, be careful. Especially note Alemada college and St. Regis.
The keyword is "BUY" I think the keyword here is BUY. So if one is wanting to BUY a degree the poster has listed some good options. However, may I suggest (name of bogus school deleted by moderator), where the BA is only $99 and the Ph.D. is a real bargain at $199.
Re: Smell before you buy All three institutions pass GAAS. As a group, they rival the campfire scene in Mel Brook’s Blazing Saddles.
