An official welcome to Kristin Evenson Hirst, our newest DegreeInfo team member!

I'd like to take this opportunity to formally welcome Kristin Evenson Hirst as a DegreeInfo administration and moderation team member as of June 1st.

As a.e.d. refugees and degreeInfo regulars know, Kristin has for several years run the about.com distance learning site, and has written tons of articles on distance learning for the About site, as well as contributing a vast amount of information to the a.e.d, Petersons, and DegreeInfo discussions. She is extrememly knowledgeable about many facets of distance learning, and now, having left About, Kristin will be part of DegreeInfo, helping out both behind the scenes with upcoming projects and with moderation and administration responsibilities on the forum.

Even as she's been a valuable and outspoken participant in our online community since its inception, I can speak for everyone on the moderation and admin teams in expressing our delight in officially having Kristin as part of our organization, and I know that her contributions will help to take DegreeInfo to the next level as a full-service distance learning portal.
