Bill, I am not able to private message you, so this is the only way I could get in touch with you about UNIZUL. I've contacted Prof. Song, and he has unofficially accepted me into the Master's research program. I would like to know about your experience thus far with UNIZUL. I probably won't be able to begin my program for another year or so (my wife and I are relocating outside the country). My only other choices are CES or Trinity in Newburgh, and I would much rather have a GAAP degree (besides - it's less expensive). Anyway, I'd like to know anything you want to tell me ([email protected]). Thanks. Daniel Payne
UZ Hi Daniel I'll email you after work tomorrow. Not to turn you from UZ, but at the MA level are there not lots of RA DL offerings available in Bible/Theology?
Hi Bill, BTW, my email address is [email protected]. I think there are some RA options for MA Biblical Studies degrees, but they do not compare in price or flexibility. None of the RA programs are avaliable solely by research. That is a big + for me. I am considering writing my thesis on the lack of necessity for openness theology to include a revisionist theory of omniscience. The only other program in which I could be so detailed with my studies is Columbia Evangelical Seminary, and I would prefer a GAAP school to an unaccredited school. I look forward to your email. Daniel
Daniel, I feel sure that what you are wanting could be arranged via Potchefstroom University http://www.puk.ac.za . The PU program is offered through Greenwich School of Theology http://www.study-theology.com , however, PU awards the degree. According to their newest prospectus the MA program is as follows: 1. 100% via research 2. 40,000 word dissertation 3. $3000 4. Can be earned in the following areas: Dogmatics, Ethics, Greek, Homiletics, Catechetics, Church and Dogma History, Church Polity, Liturgics, Missiology, New Testament, Old Testament, Pastoral Studies, Semitic Languages. PU is a GAAP school, and may indeed be what you are looking for.
Russell, Thanks for the advice about Potch. I had thought about Potch (Greenwich) before posting. It's almost twice as much as UNIZUL. I am not in a position to pay any more than UNIZUL is asking, and they are asking very little I may do doctoral work at Potch when I finish at UNIZUL - we'll see. Daniel
Trinity University & Seminary (TUS) has been in operation less than two weeks now, and has already awarded 35 BA's, 62 M.Div.'s and 123 Ph.D.'s. So it is apparent that TUS is providing a much needed academic service. I can only imagine what business will be like when I start advertising in USA Today.
Tax exemption? __________________________________________________ Russell You are just going have to enlarge your closet. Could you do an entire house remoldling and get a religious tax exemption thus avoiding property tax?
Unizul? Mr. Grover can you tell me what Unizul stands for, I think that I know but I am not sure. Also could you provide a link to their website? I thank you in adavcne for your reply. Jeff Whetzel Looking for PhD programs!
Re: Unizul? _________________________________________________- Jeff: I think Unizul may stand for University of Zululand. Please search for" Unizul". Then click on the site that says "Study in SA " or something like that. then go to bottom of page and hit address. This sounds CIA and password stuff, I know, but sometimes I have given the address and for some reason it hasn't worked. Sorry. If you don't connect let me know. Good luck,
