Ranked: The salary bump you can expect from a graduate degree, by major

    OK, so I've got a question. A History BA gets a 26K bump by earning a Masters? What job does he have in the first place that's going to give him a 26K raise for getting a Masters? Maybe a BA to get a High School teaching job followed by an MEd? If yes I'd say that's a nice bump for doing essentially the exact same thing both before and after the Masters.
