Hello, DIers! Hope everyone has been doing well and is studying hard! Perhaps my search fu has become weak during my long absence from DI, but I wasn't able to turn up any threads specifically dealing with graduate certificates for education & pedagogy. I am trying to research options for such an award for professional development reasons. The only real requirement is that it be in education, pedagogy, or a related field. As far as preferences are concerned, it would be preferable to have the certificate be from an American institute, but this is not a requirement. It would just make my life easier later on! Thank you for help, everyone! Messdiener
TRy these from UNC Charlotte: Graduate Certificates | Distance Education | UNC Charlotte If various aspects of distance ed will work, you can also look at UMUC, Post, and Penn State.
Pug, Thank you for the recommendations! I will certainly take a look into those as well. For future reference (and in the event that anyone else stumbles on this thread), I am also considering the certificate programs at Peru State College (here) and also the American College of Education (here). Both schools have some great course (and price) options, so it'll be a tough choice. Messdiener
