Could anyone please tell me what you know about Cosmopolitan University. www.cosmoedu.net Are they legitimate? they say they have been around since 1979 and seem to have a legitimate international faculty, their accreditation statement is straightforward and do not claim to be accredited by some phony accredited.

I am about to recommend a business associate for a honorary Phd in Business Administration.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who may now something about this university…

    Regards,
    David

They appear to be a degree mill. Their "courses" look like they are mostly free. They even offer a certificate of completion in "arguing".

Although I must say that's one of the most humorous(unintentionally?) diploma mills i've ever seen.

    Placque

Be kind to your business associate/friend. Buy him a placque. It is more worthwhile.

Judging from what appears in their Economics section on their web site they should not be taken seriously. They leave out the Neoclassicals (to which the Monetarists belong), the basic tenets of the science and the people and theories that disproved the possibility of socialism/communism as a viable economic alternative. Very misinformed.

Can any university that has a "jokes search" facility on their home page be taken seriously?

The threads that you are reviving and pushing to the top date back to 2002. So why are you so bothered about it now?

Are you trying to advertise this thing?

    UNISA - online

The University of South Africa's degrees are "legitimate" and from all testimonials, TOUGH, but also very inexpensive. Last I heard, people were doing doctorates for about $3,000.00, but I do not know what the current costs are.
