Are there any colleges with online degrees that have great disability services for students with disabilities?

You may need to be more specific about the nature of the disability before someone can give you a really good answer.

I think that schools are all required to have some form of disability services in accordance with the ADA. I'm uncertain how this might apply to online students. It probably depends on the type of accommodation that you require. As I understand it (flawed, I'm sure) there are many people with those sorts of problems who are not considered "disabled," so you may need to be prepared to verify the nature of the disability and what sort of accommodation is needed. If it were me I'd just make a short list of my top school choices and then contact them to inquire about what sorts of accommodations they are prepared to offer.

I wouldn't think that there's any way to know unntil you've applied to the schhol and they've had an opportunity to look at your records and talk to you.

Landmark College and Beacon College specifically serve students with special needs. However, it doesn't look like they offer any online programs. You can try looking at lists of schools with the best disability services and figure out which ones offer online programs. One school that shows up on one of these lists that offers a lot of online programs is Central Michigan University. Another one is Empire State College. University of Arizona shows up on more than one list, and they also have online programs.

When I was researching this specifically with regard to the MBA, I found huge variations in what schools publicly said . . . and, significantly, even more variations in what they actually did (or didn't do) when asked: additional time for courses and for exams, special oral exams, allowing a helper in the exam, exams in people's homes (or prison cells), repackaging course materials in benign ways [3-ring binders: dangerous in some situations], voice to text apparatus, on and on. This sort of thing is why I always included a "bending the rules" chapter in my book. You won't know if you don't ask. And, as I pointed out, it can be important whom you ask: the department head, the registrar, an influential faculty or alumnus, etc. Good luck.

University of Toledo, in Ohio, has a college (CALL) for nontraditional learners, with several distance degree options, no campus visits required. It has an amazing, excellent, large Disability Services department, that can help you problem solve anything and arrange appropriate academic accommodations. They advocate for students also.
